How To Plan For A New Kitchen....
the rest of the story…
Start With A Budget
There are several other factors to consider when planning your new kitchen. Decide how long you plan to live in your home. A good rule of thumb to go by: If you are planning on living in your home for 5 years or less, then the improvements should be investment-driven. If you are going to be living in your home for over 5 years, or indefinitely, then you probably want to make decisions based on what is most comfortable for you and your family.
Depending on how long you will live in your home, your budget might need to cover a kitchen facelift (for example, cabinetry update & new countertops and a fresh hue for the walls) or a complete kitchen overhaul (complete kitchen reconfiguration- new everything). Regardless of how long you plan on staying, consider what the remodel will do to the value of your house, and then compare it with other homes in the neighborhood.
