A Kitchen Design For A New Home

The Townes of North River, Tuscaloosa, Alabama

The team at Toulmin Cabinetry & Design designed the kitchen and bathrooms for this Courtney Avenue home in the Townes of North River. The kitchen has a clean white design and extensive lighting that gives the room an open feeling and supplements the natural light from the windows. This look was achieved by choosing complimentary finishes including Arctic White cabinetry by Shiloh, LG Viatera Countertops in Minuet, and 3" x 6" soft gray backsplash tile.

New Home Construction in Tuscaloosa, Alabama

When designing a kitchen it is important to consider the lifestyle of the homeowners and choose elements that function with the way they live. In this case, the clients are empty nesters who enjoy cooking. So a Sharp microwave drawer, a walk-in pantry and a GE Dual Oven range with custom range hood were chosen. The kitchen is an open concept design in a neutral palette. This clean look relies on design details like inset beaded cabinetry, oversized kitchen island corbels, seeded glass pendants, and large satin nickel drawer pulls by Top Knobs to add an element of elegance. The engineered wood flooring brings a contrasting warmth to the room.

An Elegant Kitchen Design

The GE Cafe appliances, Kohler Whitehaven sink, Delta Cassidy faucet in brushed nickel and LG Quartz countertops work together to form a cohesive and sophisticated look. The oversized corbels on the range hood and the pot filler add to the overall feel of understated quality.

A Change That Made All The Difference.

Customization and a desire to create kitchen designs that meet our clients particular needs are what separates our creative approach from our competitors.

Customization included the removal of a column– marked in red on the floor plan. This change expanded sight lines and opened the space.
