Stonehaven Construction's impressive new construction is situated in the Indian Hills Country Club neighborhood in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Toulmin Kitchen & Bath joined the project early to inject exceptional design elements and distinctive character into the spec home, ensuring it stands out in the market. Leading the design efforts for the kitchen, butler’s pantry, powder room and laundry room, was Mary Lauda Crenshaw, our lead designer at Toulmin Kitchen & Bath.
The Kitchen
The heart of this home, the kitchen, features exquisite Shiloh cabinetry with beaded inset panels painted in Sherwin Williams Repose Gray. The reeded millwork detailing on the island and the elegantly turned legs add a touch of classical elegance, while the rift-sawn white oak brings warmth.
A House of Rohl bridge faucet and a Kohler Whitehaven cast iron apron front sink underscore the farmhouse vibe, which is enhanced by modern conveniences such as a Sharp microwave drawer and high-end Viking appliances.
Above, Hudson Valley Lighting from the Mark D. Sikes Collection casts a serene glow, highlighting the Sonoma Tilemakers’ handmade white subway tile and the lustrous quartz countertops. A functional yet stylish pot filler adds a gourmet touch to this culinary haven.
The Butler’s Pantry
Adjacent to the kitchen lies the Butler's Pantry, a true jewel box design. Clad in Benjamin Moore Newburg Green, this space boasts monochromatic millwork. The beaded inset cabinetry from Shiloh, refrigerator drawers, and quartz countertops ensure functionality is not sacrificed for style, while an antique mirror backsplash tile adds a layer of opulence, making this space a visual and practical delight.
The Powder Room
A furniture-style vanity adorned with Shiloh Cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Newburg Green sets a rich tone. An unlacquered brass faucet from Newport Brass and a stunning Uttermost vanity mirror complement the sophisticated Schumacher Wallpaper, creating an inviting yet opulent space. This room is a perfect blend of classic charm and modern luxury, making it a standout feature of the home.
The Laundry Room
Efficiency meets style in this laundry room. Full-overlay cabinetry by Aspect, painted in a soft Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray, ensures ample storage. Quartz countertops provide a durable and stylish workspace, aligning with the home’s theme of luxury and functionality.
