Traditional Kitchen Construction

The Townes of North River, Tuscaloosa, AL

This new kitchen construction was for a single-family home in the exclusive master-planned community, The Townes of North River in Tuscaloosa Alabama. The kitchen design was created for the personal home of a builder at College Station Construction.

Delicatus Granite Countertops

The countertops are polished 3 centimeter Delicatus Granite and the backsplash is a 3" X 6" tumbled travertine. Having a television in a kitchen is popular. The cabinetry for this kitchen television has pocket doors that hide the screen when not in use. The flooring is traditional sand and finished hardwood.

Full Access CABINETRY

The cabinetry in this kitchen is full access or European design cabinets. This style of cabinetry provides more storage space than a traditional framed cabinet box. They are a  frameless construction that is edge banded and painted in a Benjamin Moore historical color, Bleeker Beige HC-80 & the island is a contrasting stained maple The sink is a fireclay single bowl farmhouse sink.

Raised Panel Cabinetry

The appliances are by KitchenAid. A second oven supplements the range and is placed under the countertop to provide a refined look and additional counter space. The cabinetry is a raised panel design with the French-inspired Jeffrey Alexander collection of knobs and pulls.

Turquoise Chandelier

The chandelier is a Currey & Company light fixture constructed of metal and turquoise marble beads. The decorative wood range hood has a concave shape that best suits the cathedral ceiling design within the space.
