Bright & Airy Kitchen Remodel

Lexington Downs, Tuscaloosa, Alabama

The remodeling and design professionals at Toulmin Cabinetry & Design renovated this Tuscaloosa home and built an open concept kitchen and dining room. The client is an well known artist whose medium is oil and watercolor paintings. The neutral look and feel of this space was designed to provide a backdrop for her landscape, floral, and portraiture work.

Kitchen Renovation Tuscaloosa, Alabama

This is our second project for this client. We formerly designed and built an outdoor living area for her. The open concept design is highly functional and designed for entertaining friends and family. The kitchen has an oversized but manageable island with space for seating. The design aesthetic is bright and welcoming with satin nickel fixtures, stainless steel appliances and the use of white and light gray flooring, backsplash tile and cabinetry.

A Kitchen Designed For Entertaining

This kitchen remodel took a dark, cramped space with a dated floor plan and opened it so that it has improved flow and provide space for guests. The GE Cafe appliances, Kohler sink and faucet and Top Knobs hardware are contemporary and evident but seamlessly blend with the high key flooring, cabinets and countertops.

An Elegant White Kitchen

All of the design elements in this kitchen renovation were chosen to provide a neutral palette for the clients artwork. This is evident in the Arctic White and Repose Gray cabinetry, Venetian White porcelain floor tiles and the 3" x 12" handmade subway tile backsplash.
