This transitional kitchen contains classic natural marble countertops and chrome elements that evoke a vintage kitchen look. Shallow custom beaded inset cabinetry with an island that includes shallow cabinets that provide additional storage. Small touches, like high-quality Top Knobs hardware and Edison bulbs within the chrome lighting fixtures, add to the overall feel and demonstrate an attention to detail.

Cabinetry is an all plywood construction with dovetail drawer boxes. Spice and pan pullouts to the left and right of the range. The GE refrigerator has a Krup/Keurig coffee maker built into the door. 

Microwave Placement

In place of a built-in microwave, the clients requested an in cabinet box that allows for easy replacement. We always try to make the microwave inconspicuous with the addition of a trim kit so that it feels integral to the kitchen.

Cabinet Height

The refrigerator is counter depth model by GE. We prefer to use counter depth when possible for a finished look and additional floor space Cabinets that span from the ceiling to the countertop provide additional storage space.

Recessed canned lighting on a dimmer switch provides ample light for this space.

Chrome Accents and Fixtures

Prefinished hand scraped wood was used for the flooring. Recessed canned lighting on a dimmer switch provides ample light for this space. The kitchen sink is a stainless steel apron sink. The faucet has a chrome finish and is manufactured by Danze.
